ARDHANG VATA : PARALYSIS AN AYURVEDIC APPROACH The vitiated vatdosha is the root cause for ardhang vayu or hemiplagia. It captures half part of the body and contracts different parts of that half of body so the patient keeps his\her hand contracted near chest.Walking is also affected he\she will drag his feet while walking. It dries out veins and muscles of that half part, along that it will loosens the articulative structures of joints. Thus it affects certain half of the body. That half part of the body becomes num and useless. Motor and sensory functions are affected,thus debeleting the patient.
