Ayurveda Diet concepts for your well being

The term fitness has just sunk to some exercise and forced dietary habits. But actually ayurveda emphasizes on much more. According to ayurveda there are 3 pillars of fitness which is called swasthya here. Diet sleep and abstinence are those pillars. Yes diet is the first pillar but it differs from the dieting which is forced on people for their just being slim!Ayurveda guides that ahar ie. diet should be inclusive of all 6 tastes viz sweet, sour, salty, bitter,hot and astringent. Just keeping person on vegetables is thus not really advisable. In homely Indian diet all these six tastes are included in your plate which balances the 3 doshas which make or break the body known as vat, pitt & kaph. Apart from the 6 taste diet there are so many other factors taken in consideration about diet. First is prakruti 1 type of diet is not good for all 3 types of constitutions of body [ they are also vat body pitt body & kaph body constitutions ]. So it in such a way that your constitution demands. If a kaph prakruti man goes out for more sweet and oily diet he is more prone to get diseases like diabetes or blood pressure called as santarpanaj vyadhis. On the contrary vat prakruti person could not be kept on fat free diet at all!A pitt prakruti person could tolerate more cold eatables or drinks or cold beverages than the kapha one.I have seen many pitt prakruti persons tolerating ice creames in december while some others can not tolerate it even a spoonful in this cold time.So prakruti or constitution has emense importance in your dietary fixation.
There are many ways of healthy eating which guide how to eat, apart from what to eat. 1.tanmana bhunjit : meaning that keep your total mind in eating.Also your mood should be happy. We are now a days used to eat fast food standing on road or lane corner where you can not find peace of mind. We are also used to have our dinner in front of TV which shows programmes full of tensions, sex or violence.The programmes create wrong emotions and subsequently wrong hormones are secreted while you dine. This type of eating causes unhappiness and thus affects secretion of digestive juices and subsequently the digestion.
