Segregation has many reasons but union has many more. And usually we are the individuals and societies who overlook those uniting features. A German writer [anonymous] rightly said it ‘I do not count people in plurals’. Thus she emphasizes on the fact that every individual is unique and you cannot blame somebody for just being born to a particular cast. Literature can be seen as mirror of a society and so you can just go through literary works of different ages countries and people. There you will find that how the world is connected across the time or direction. When i first read sense and sensibility i did not find it extra ordinary thing but what i could find was that the characters she has portrayed are some where around us today. That meant there is some kind of similarity in people in 18 th century Great Britain and 21 st century India! The backgrounds are totally different but man within is the same.
