What is fitness ? Ayurveda views for being fit

Fitness in view of ayurveda -

Our body is the same but how we look at it differs from person to person. For example a spiritual person will see it as just a tool for salvation. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was such a totally surrendered to God a person that he never cared about his body. His followers had to run after him to take care of his body. Yogis are also looking at it as a tool for salvation but they care for the body the most. They may be seen in ideal body forms. It is said that some yogis have such a lighter weight body that they can lift it up in air! I don't say it is not a myth but we can understand the suggestive point behind it that they are light weight and have full command on their body. Third view about own body is to just use it for the purpose of getting money and enjoy life. Some others are not yogis but are very careful about it knowing that the tool for all worldly things should be maintained as we do maintain our cars neatly!
Same body different look outs similarly, same body is looked from different views by different pathies, health sciences and ayurveda.
To be fit is also seen different perspectives. Ayurveda has described many aspects to define fitness. It is not just being slim or be able to do certain tasks effectively but something more. What is that something more ? Come on let us see it. It is all about समदोष: समाग्नीशच सम धातू मलक्रिया । प्रसन्न आत्मेन्द्रिय मन: स्वस्थ इत्यभीधीयते । meaning that...
Body in ayurvedic viewpoint is made of 3 doshas, viz Vata Pitta and Kafa. If the 3 doshas are in harmony and in balance then that is healthy condition and if they are imbalanced it brings diseases or unhealthiness. So for fitness doshas should be balanced. These doshas stay on seven dhatus as ras rakt mans etc.For example one of them is rakt means blood and likewise there are other 6 dhatus. Ayurveda asks for balance of the seven dhatus also for fitness. So who is fit ? The one who's doshas are balanced dhatus are balanced. Is that all ? No.
In addition to this his agni means digestion is good,Who's 3 malas viz sweat, fecal matter and urine are in correct form and thrown away properly.
dosh
dhatu
mal
agni
should be proper.
And again his 5 sensory organs should be working properly viz ears, nose, skin, eyes, tongue
5 working organs should be working properly viz hands, legs, anus, genitals and tongue 9 double because it senses also and works for talking also.
so for fitness all these 10 organs should be harmonious and working properly.
His mind also should be prasann means happy and stable. it should not be sad or depressed. If not so man is not fit.
And above all is the atma of human being should be swasth and prasanna. How to know that one's atma is prasanna ? Atm prasanna man is cool calm composed has a satisfaction of different level. He knows what we are actually. The body consciousness is reduced and he knows that we are not supreme but the Lord is. That Lord is Paramatma!
So do you fulfill these criteria of fitness ? If Yes,  very good \ mind blowing. If No, just let us start to work on it individually and collectively.,
Thus ayurveda view of fitness and health is very broad and vast. there is no parallel to this in the whole world. We will tell it to the world for their good. Because the ancient sages say that, ' सुखार्था सर्व भुतानाम मता येशा प्रवर्तित:’ means it is science for happiness to all.
Thanks a lot dear readers.
Be Fit and enjoy.
