This was really touching episode. I have always tried to sabotage this pratha of untouchability. I went to so called backward class areas with some of my friends and shared love and respect to those people.
In your show one lady said all our religious material is full of this discremination she quoted manusmruti.
Another bramhin from kashi praised this pratha and quoted again manusmruti.
But see manusmruti is not all about hindu dharma. smrutis are changable according to time ; our original theory is vedas and upanishadas which is abbrevated in bhagvad gita
All thes etexts say that not only human being but all the living and non living world is one, it is atman or parabramha; it is full of unity joy and truth and happiness. The thoughts of upanishadas unite the world and all small thoughta are condemned by them
It is the society that could not accept these thoughta and some people for their selfish causes went on with all these prathas
Let us end untouchabilty and unch nich from this society
