He also had pains in heels, knee, low back and neck joints.He could not sleep well at night.
The pains were severe and he could not do his job regularly. There was edema on wrist and below fingers. There would be restriction to movements and heaviness in affected joints. It started in month of december when it was cold enough.
The Rheumatic factor was + ve and score was 24.5 which is abnormal. ESR being 35 [ raised ].
I diagnosed him as amavat which I hacve described in earlier post and treated him like this
1. Aplication of mahavishagarbh tel and fomentation with sand pouch [ which he being civil contractor could easily do.
To digest the ama I went for sunth hingashtak
for amavat I used amavatari ras.
Along with rasnadi gugul, dashamool maharasnadi kadha for the vata in joints.
At April 15 he went completely symptomless and now is being treated for other disease.
He did not follow up the R A factor test may be due to economical reasons.
As opposed to older cases which bring vat [ much trouble to the doctor ] this being new was treated fast to cure well.
