Ghatasthapana is 1 st day when hindu households worship of Ma Bhagavati which is done for 9 days.
This is the beginning of navaratri.
The Goddess is also a symbol of female power.
The modern view we should adopt is that we should honor women around us which till today seems to lack in our thought process.
