Working on 1. Lichen Planus or mouth ulcer, rash in mouth patient got rid of steroids and cured by ayurveda

Lichen planus is an autoimmune disease which manifests itself like ulcer in mouth.It is bump like eruption unlike ulcer which is plain wound like deformity.
rash is characterized by small, flat-topped, many-sided (polygonal) bumps that can grow together into rough, scaly plaques on the skin. There may also be a rash in the lining (mucous membranes) of the mouth
I have a patient who had severe acidity at the beginning then had mouth ulcers which eventually turned to be Lichen planus and he was unable to eat anything;even sweet things.
As steroid is only modern treatment he took it for 1 month but knowing that it can be hazardous to life, ayurveda was selected as a choice of treatment.When on steroids it would be worse and leave black scar behind. Many scholars have termed it as non repairable disease but we by the grace of God and with the help of ayurveda have been able to cover it upto 70 % the patient is happy that he can eat his regular lunch now and has much reduced pains.
I chose pitt chikitsa with pachan chikitsa, oushny chikitsa and local treatment along with wound treatment to be a part of my line of treatment.
He has reported to be well relieved till today 15 th may 2014.
